In 2020, together with my fellow classmates Selvaggia Di Fazio, Simone Pisa, Mattia Torchi and Elia Tudini, I participated to the annual Harvard Challenge, a competition between students and alumni of Business School from all over the World on a business problem.
The question was if Amazon should acquire Netflix.
A thorough analysis that through analyzing actual assets and strategies, eventual synergies and projecting the outcomes into the future, lead us to the conclusion that Amazon shouldn't acquire Netflix but should focus on emerging technologies more aligned with their one-stop place strategy.
Even though our project didn't win the challenge, the experience itself helped us analyzing in details topics ranging from strategy to finance, modelling scenarios and evaluating performances.
