On February 28th 2021, together with my fellow classmates Merve Bulgurcu, Nandish Hebbal, and Vinicius Ishizaki, we participated and won the 2021 Hult Codathon and Business Challenge.
This challenge was based on a dataset of 46.000 transactions from a real-life B2B surface analysis team facing a variety of questions:
- Should we have a direct salesforce?
- Should we expand in new countries? If so, which ones?
- Should we change the pricing strategy?
We were given 6 hours and complete freedom on approach and tools. We worked with Python for initial EDA, data cleaning and feature engineering, moved to Tableau for the visuals and completed the work on PowerPoint for the 5-minutes video submission.
Our analysis ended up very aligned with the final results of the real project occurred 3 years before carried on a team of professional consultants for weeks. The experience was fun and challenging!
