My professional roots are in my family business: a small manufacturing company (30 employees) in the automotive industry. I started as a technical designer during my bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering, and after a few years, I moved into quality management and executive direction with my father. Being the company big enough, I had the opportunity to closely work with some of the biggest firms in the automotive industry - CNH, Elringklinger, Denso, IHI, among others - with the responsibility of manage audits, requests for quotation, and problem resolution. On the other hand, being the company small enough, I had the opportunity to collaborate with every process owner of every department, reshaping every process: from manufacturing to finance, from sales to logistics.
Thanks to my work in quality and plant management, together with the great efforts of my brother in sales and marketing - and the trust of our father - we have been able to transform a 50 years old company that used to rely only on the household appliance and air conditioning industry, mostly in Italy, to an automotive supplier with customers all over Europe, Asia and, soon, in the USA. I was responsible for every change management project: from the IATF certification to the manufacturing execution system with which now the plant is run.
To broaden and reinforce my skills in business management, in August I graduated with distinction from an MBA at Hult International Business School in Boston and I’m now in San Francisco enrolled in a Dual Degree in Business Analytics that will end in April 2021.
During this last academic experience, I discovered a new, profound interest that brought me to go deeper into the subject of data analytics, ML, AI, and digitalization not only in class but in my spare time, with personal projects and participating in codathons and challenges.
Even though I owe most of my professional skills to my company, in the last years I felt the urge of looking for a personal path that would allow me to enrich my working experience in a broader international environment to accelerate my growth.
Thanks to my working and academic experiences I can carry on high-pressure and high-responsibility tasks with the most diverse teams. As a business owner, I am used to identifying my own good with the good of the company and of the people around me, without the fear of asking for opinions and feedbacks, working hard, or taking responsibility for my teams’ results.
